  • I wish i have at least one more day.

definitely not enough. People spend 12 months here, and i only have 8 days. whatever it is, im grateful to be able to be in this trip, to experience ups and lows, travelling alone but definitely not lonely, ponder upon little things in life, thinking about future and my present, appreciate little things, like one strand of maggi yang tumpah pun nak amik..and be more careful with my belongings..(the camera incident)..be more grateful..(i lost my phone and i got it back)..be more organized..so much that this plan is all about reaching there and plan, no interinary whatsoever. and one big lesson for me is to be responsible to myself, cuz i know, they are many people who cares.

I sooo wanna go to the hot spring pool in Hanmer Spring, or just even one in Franz Josef. It is sooo close to me, but its unreachable cuz there are no intertown transportation. And i won't hitch hike if im walking alone.

I know, some people say,"Ala Hot Spring Pool, Malaysia pun ada..". But i want to go here...right here right now.......

but hey, you can get everything kan, especially when you travel without personal iterinary, have zero expectation and hassle free trips.

next time datang sini, i want to dip into the hot pool during winter so that i can see snow on the tree..so cantik and soothing!

or maybe other part of the world? Let's see!

  • Foxy Hiking-I didn't get to catch my own breath

Good Day, quite a fine weather, we started our journey at 10 to 10. it was 11 of us and one leader, all of them were couples. that leaves the odd number there u see. I put on 2 pants, 2 tshirt, 2 jumpers, and one spare ugly wool jacket that i found on a bus.(i didnt steal it tauuu).

I took the half a day trip, the package is called Fox Trot, it took about 4 hours the whole journey. The landscape was amazing, in one frame of a camera, or even from your eyes, you can see the white, greenish, blackish ice, and also green rainforest which is very very unique.

The reason I choose Fox than Franz Josef is because this place is less crowded, and the ice should be purer and cleaner. It was so right. The ice surface that I step was more fresh, since my group was among the first to climb up.

We climb up through the rain forest, because the entrance tru the ice was very unstable. It was so memenatkan, i started by being among the first, and at the end, i was the last on the trail. Luckily, there was one American couple voluntarily walk behind me just in case i pengsan or whatever. Plus walking in the boots were so uncomfy. So, uncool yani.

The only thing that keeps me moving is this thought- its ok, this is just a work out session! it works out your hips and your tummy and your thigh, come on yani, burn more calorie. Honestly seriously, i was on the verge of giving up.

The moment we approach the ice, the temperature suddenly change. I was in my yoga pants and 2 layers of t-shirt only. All the sore legs, hard and quick breath just vanish, just like that.

it was amazing. Being on hard ice, walking and snapping photo, listening to the history and myth behind Fox Glacier, enjoying the beautiful scenery, i couldn't stop praising God's greatest power.

On the way back, i happily walk at the very front, because the journey was soo soo sooo much easier!

seriously, can i climb Mount Kinabalu? Forget it yani, wait until they build cable car to the top.

  • It's 11.5 degree

and it feels like its minus 11. I had not quiet a good day today, mild migrain, sore muscles, low feelings, and i tried to turn it upside down with a session of sauna.

I had a good laughing session when i was on skype with Zharif, thanks to Uncle for adding me in Skype. I know zharif would never check his laptop. He told me not to be sad and just be patient for a little while. I was still sad, tapi at least there is someone who cares, so much I was a degil little lamb, wanting to go on this trip jugak.

I got back to my lodge, take a sauna session, try to be positive and somehow it works. After that, I take a quick nap. take a real long hot shower(hot water never runs out!), cook myself some delicious Indo Mee Dinner and a cup of tea, and now, here i am.

I hope I can still sleep eventhough I've had my nap before. I have to wake up early for tomorrow's activity: Glacier Hiking and Cycling:) And after that, sauna lagi kalau ada duit la.

    Good Night, Sleep Tight.
  • It is so quiet here..

I had my Fox town walk, which takes less than half an hour to compete it if you take your sweetest time, browse through every single items in the shop, and 5 minutes if you walk normally.

There are only one ATM at this cute little town, and it doesn't have any that can accept international card. and i dont have credit card, because it was frauded, and i cancel it.

I only have 30 bucks cash.

Franz Josef is only 12 kms away, local cab doesnt cater for one person travelling. Lake Matheson is 6 kms away, but they $10 bucks to get there.

I have 2 days here in Fox, how can i survive?

I feel so low, im so home sick, i can't smile. There are less than 100 people here in town i assume. My photos are all ugly. Im not in a good mood.

My first real obstacles and challenge since I got here. I need strength. it is a tough, tough challenge for me.

    It's only 4 o'clock, and I have 38 hours more to go.

Come on yani, get up and be energetic. I need my brain power to be up there.

Tomorrow, I'm going Glacier Hiking for half day, and later that afternoon I plan to cycle to Lake Matheson for sunset.

As for today, I am going to have a slow quiet day, hit the spa for 45 minutes and read something.

    Please pray for my happiness..

  • I feel Foxy.

I am traveling alone, but im not lonely. Zharif is always there to give me loads and loads of attention and affection.

I met a lovely Irish girl, Gemma on my last 2 nights in Queenstown. We clicked instantly, we talk about almost everything. Surprisingly, i can understand her Irish accent, hmm thanks to Harvie my colleague in Doughboy for giving some training with difficult accents from that area. (eh, ke tgk ps I love u banyak sangat?)

I learn how to do self facial, self indian hair massage and yoga from her. Now i can feel rejuvenate, new born and extremely calm.( baru buat satu kali, haish, brain power).

Now I'm in Fox Glacier, located at the West Coast of NZ Southern Island. It is a cloudy day, and i cannot survive without the sun. About 5 hours from Queenstown by bus, we stopped at a few places-Wanaka, Makarora, and this awesome Salmon Farm where there sell fresh salmon food. Tapi i dont eat salmon.

My face so dry, my moisturiser gel is not enough to lock moisture on my face, duit running low, SO I use the tester at the shop. Blergh!

Gonna do slow town exploring. Toodles!
